Refrigerant Dryer Service and Leak Testing

A 2006 EU Regulation, known as F Gas, dealt with the safe handling of HFC gases. The idea was to restrict the number of HFC gases that reach the environment. HFC gases are present in all refrigerant-compressed air dryers. The law allows only qualified staff to work on refrigeration systems.

For all equipment with a charge of 3kgs or more, operators have to keep records of the refrigerant within it. By law, a qualified person must leak-test a minimum of once a year for systems with over 3kgs charge, and twice a year for systems over 30kgs.

At Ingersoll Rand, all our Dryer Service Engineers are fully qualified. They can leak-test systems and offer servicing and repair on refrigerant-compressed air dryers from any manufacturer, as well as on desiccant dryers.
